Learning & care

Premises and equipment

Purpose-built spaces and carefully chosen resources that help children play, rest, explore and grow.

A bright purpose-built nursery classroom with natural play materials

Our nurseries operate in first-class, purpose-built accommodation. Every space has been designed to our own specifications with pre-school children as the focus.

Our building

  • Bright and spacious classrooms
  • Sleep and quiet spaces
  • A large kitchen where we cook our own nutritious hot meals and snacks
  • Laundry facilities
  • Spacious, specialist landscaped gardens with hard and soft play areas, baby play areas with safety surfaces, and covered outdoor spaces for wet days
  • CCTV and biometric fingerprint access systems
  • Direct access to children’s toilets from classrooms
  • Low-level windows for easy views outside
  • Additional private and larger spaces available as required

Selecting equipment and toys

When purchasing equipment, we choose resources that give children opportunities—with adult help—to develop new skills and concepts through play and exploration.

  • Appropriate for the ages and stages of the children
  • Challenging physical, social, personal and intellectual skills
  • Featuring positive images of people of different genders, ethnicities, cultures and abilities
  • Including natural, versatile materials that encourage open-ended creativity and problem-solving
  • Supporting individual potential and progress towards learning outcomes
  • Conforming to relevant safety regulations and being sound and well made
